I’m Nina!

I'm a multifaceted educator and designer with a mission: to ensure everyone has the tools and resources to succeed. I'm passionate about using technology as a catalyst for inclusivity and accessibility, paving the way for equitable learning experiences across all barriers.

Previously:


As a teacher, I had the privilege of observing my students as they delved into new technology and was amazed at how they could navigate and utilize it with minimal guidance. However, I also noticed their occasional frustrations when their expectations were not met. This sparked my interest in user experience, prompting me to become a student again and pursue UX Design certification.


Over the course of my career, I have developed and refined my abilities in communication, problem-solving, and empathy, all of which have established a solid groundwork for a career in Design.

Now:

I’m a former Teacher and current Designer residing in Allen, Texas. I excel at discovering user needs and painpoints by conducting research and analyzing and synthesizing the results. I understand that empathizing with users is the key to effective design.

I’ve supported companies in shifting to a user first philosophy by sharing case studies and research to demonstrate the benefits of empathizing with users and advocating for user-centric design. 

I’m skilled in various technologies, and I’m committed to staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in the field through continuous learning.  I believe in the power of collaboration and am skilled at working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful design projects.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from Nicholls State University, Google’s UX Design Certificate from Coursera, and Springboard’s UI/UX Design Certificate. I am currently studying for my Master of Science degree in Project and Operations Management at Southern New Hampshire University.

When I'm not conducting user research and designing flows, I can be found cruising the seas, burning my laser to create custom products, and binge watching all programs on HGTV.
